What is Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) ?

 

Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is pressed from the fresh meat of raw coconuts. It is cold pressed and filtered and retains the classic coconut smell as well as many micronutrients in the oil.

Two main processes of manucfaturing Virgin Coconut Oil:

1. Wet milling. The oil is extracted from fresh coconut meat without drying fist. Coconut milk is made by pressing. Then the oil separated from the water. 

2. Quick drying of the fresh coconut flesh. Low heat is used to quick dry the coconut; the oil then pressed out with mechanical means.
